BEFORE YOU APPLY

Before you follow our application process, please make sure you have first selected your program which you would like to study.

  1. Review the Admissions criteria and key dates:
  2. Prepare your certified supporting documents.
  3. Submit your application and supporting documents through the online application system.
  4. Receive your Conditional Acceptance Letter.
  5. Accept and pay for your offer. Note the expiry date for acceptance.
  6. Receive your Acceptance Letter.
  7. Apply for your visa.
  8. Book your flights. Inform CSU about your arrival details via e-mail.
  9. Travel to North Cyprus and attend your CSU International Orientation.

Required Documents for Application

Applications to the undergraduate programs are accepted twice a year.

Documents Required for Undergraduate Application :

  1. Photocopies of Higher Secondary School Certificate and transcript (mark sheets).
  2. Language proficiency results if applicable (TOEFL, IELTS, TOMER)
  3. Photocopy of the passport 
  4. One passport-sized photograph

(*) In the case that original documents are not in English, notarized translations must be provided.

Graduate applications are evaluated by an academic committee. Therefore please be aware that it takes up to 15 working days for the results.

Prepare your supporting documents before starting your online application.

Make sure you have the following documents:

  1. Transcripts (including the grading system of institution)
  2. Undergraduate diploma (minimum Cumulative GPA of 2.25/4.00, or an official transcript to demonstrate an equivalent general performance)
  3. English language proficiency test results (either TOEFL for Master's or  YDS for Turkish applicants)
  4. A passport photocopy
  5. One passport-sized photograph
  6. Two reference letters
  7. Letter of Intent in English (A letter clearly stating the purpose for the application)

(*) In the case that original documents are not in English, notarized translations must be provided.

Transfer student applications or associate degree holders

Students who are hold an Associate Degree or a National Diploma can apply as a transfer student to the Bachelor Degree programs.

The requirements for transfer applications to the CSU are as follows.

  • Transfer applications should be to the 2nd, 3rd, 4th or 5th semesters. Associate Degree or National Diploma holders generally start from the 5th semester.
  • Student should not have been dismissed from a University,
  • All required modules should have been completed from previous classes.
  • CGPA should be minimum 2.00 out of 4.00 or the equivalent.

Requested Documents

  • Photocopies of Higher Secondary School Certificate / Diploma and Associate Degree or a National Diploma
  • Academic record / mark sheets (transcript)
  • Short course descriptions
  • Passport copy or birth certificate
  • One photograph

Minimum Eligibility Scores and Grades

The criteria outlined above are determined by the  Ministry of National Education and Culture of Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.

Students who are in their senior year at high school or who graduated from high school and who satisfy at least one of the below criteria may apply as international students.

Language Entry Requirements

For English degree program applicants:

  • TOEFL score 75
  • IELTS score 6.0

If students do not have TOEFL/IELTS then he/ she has to take an English Proficiency Exam.

For Turkish degree program applicants: TOMER B1 level is required.

Certifying Copies of your Original Documents

A certified copy of a document is a photocopy of the original that has been certified as a true copy by an authorized person. When you provide us with a scanned copy or photocopy of a document, it must be certified. All pages of submitted supporting documents must be certified.

Make sure your current name is added to any documents you supply with your former names (if applicable).

The authorized person must: Sight the original document and write on the copy "This is a true copy of the original documents sighted by me". The certifier must certify every page of the documentation. Each page should include:

  • Signature and print of their name
  • Provide an address and contact telephone number
  • State their profession or occupation group
  • Write the date certified
  • Stamp the copy with the official stamp or seal of their organization (if they have one)

My documents are not in English?

Official certified English translations are also required for documents in another language. All pages of submitted supporting documents must be certified.
